Coloured UPVC doors are a popular way to personalise the exterior of one’s home. However, new units cost around 20% more than their white counterpart and if there’s nothing wrong with your current door functionally, you’re probably reluctant to add to your carbon footprint by getting rid of it.
So, can you change the colour of UPVC doors? Is there a cheaper way to get the look?
Thankfully there is. You can have your doors professionally spray painted. The result of a service like ours is your door or doors will appear as though they were originally installed in the new colour. A factory finish is what we guarantee, and we achieve this by spray painting the inside and outside of the door, including the sides and behind the handles. If your doors are glazed, we also replace the sealant with a colour-matching one.
The cost to spray paint a UPVC door and frame is around £230. The cost to spray paint a garage door is around £280.00. The cost to spray paint UPVC patio doors or bi-folding doors is around £300.00. You will find this is always 50% less than the cost of replacement and in many cases a saving of 70% or more is possible.
The process
We thoroughly clean your door and prepare the surface for painting. We mask off the door or remove it from its setting if required for painting. We spray paint the door with three layers of paint, allowing at least 30 minutes between each coat depending on the ambient temperature. After this is complete, we remove all masking and tidy up any areas that need touching in. The result is a door that looks brand new.
You can have your door with a matte, satin or gloss finish and in any colour you like. Use our design tool to see a colour change for yourself. The results are spectacular.
