Perhaps you had to replace a window recently and they don’t match? Or perhaps your home has a combination of new and old windows that have aged differently?
Whatever the reason behind your mismatched windows, the good news is it’s possible to colour match them with spray painting.
Spray painting?
That’s right.
Spray painting is the fastest and most economical way to colour match a new UPVC window with an old one, and vice versa.
This is a professional service, performed by a skilled person using an electric spray-painting gun and industrial-grade solvent-based exterior paint.
The resulting finish is exceptionally durable. For example, we stamp all our spray-painting work with a minimum 10-year guarantee.
The window does not need removing from its setting. Instead, it is sprayed in situ with the surrounding area masked off. Both the inside and outside of the window can be sprayed to return it to its original aesthetic condition.
Colour matching
If we are colour matching an old window to a new window, this is relatively easy, because the new UPVC will be a standard brown or white. In this case, we can colour match using a standard paint mixed from the British Standard colour chart.
If we are colour matching a new window to an old window, we may be able to use a colour from the BS chart or the RAL colour chart.
If a perfect match isn’t available using these charts, we will mix a custom colour offsite using a combination of colourants and bases. We’re able to produce millions of colours and match any sample via a spectrophotometer.
We can also create a matte, satin or gloss finish. Rest assured, when we colour match windows, we do a proper job.
