Can you paint UPVC cladding? It used to be the case that painting any UPVC – be it drain pipes, gutters, cladding or trim – was very difficult because the slick surface would cause paint to peel or flake away at the first sight of frost.
Thanks to better paint which bonds closer to the surface, this is no longer the case. We can now paint UPVC cladding to such a high quality it appears as though the cladding was originally installed in the new colour. The paint will not flake, peel or pull away, something which we guarantee for a period of 10-years.
Sometimes, it is necessary to prime the surface but not always because the paints we use act as a primer on the first coat. This is unique to us. Also, the spray guns we use are custom built to our specification to deliver a fine, even coat. Built up in layers, this creates a durable and flawless surface that lasts and lasts.
UPVC cladding looks brand-new when it is painted by us. Can you paint UPVC cladding yourself? Not to the same quality. For a start, UPVC cladding must be spray painted, and the equipment required to do this is not available off-the-shelf. And if it was, it would cost you hundreds of pounds. The other option is using a brush, but this takes four times longer and leaves behind brush marks, which look awful on plastic.
Painting UPVC cladding properly requires good surface preparation, patience, and the right tools for the job. We have painted the UPVC cladding on hundreds of homes.
