What to Look For in Commercial UPVC Painting
If you’re looking to have your UPVC painted, here’s some helpful tips:
The PaintYou buy cheap paint; you buy twice. The paint used should be solvent-based and ‘1K’, otherwise known as one-component. This means the paint dries through solvent evaporation, as opposed to a chemical reaction. Our paints are made in Europe and meet these criteria, with the first layer of paint acting as the primer.
The WeatherDon’t believe anyone who tells you commercial UPVC painting can be done come rain or shine! While painting can be performed outdoors with a bit of rain - assuming shelter can be erected - it is impossible to paint wet UPVC. The UPVC has to be dry to be painted otherwise the paint will run with the water.
The CostWe’re completely transparent about prices. Our commercial customers pay around £150 per window, £230 per door and £300 per shutter. The majority of commercial projects come in at under £900. We provide a discount for a certain number of units (windows, doors, etc.) and quote for all projects individually.
Extra MaterialsThe best commercial UPVC painters don’t just paint UPVC - they can also spray metal, timber, masonry and other plastics. This is a service we provide. The most common extras we spray are aluminium shutters and outdoor handrails. We don’t mind painting all the bits and bats you’d like doing with your UPVC units.
And Lastly...Make sure you get a guarantee with the work. This should be an insurance-backed guarantee protecting you against faulty workmanship. We provide a 10-year guarantee on our painting work. Many of our commercial customers are enjoying an as-new finish several years later. This is a testament to the quality of our work.
Above all, you will find us courteous, polite and professional. We take great pride in our work. Contact us today to find out more about our UPVC spray painting services and to get your free, no obligation quote.
